Welcome to Tanzania! Upon arrival at Kilimanjaro International Airport, your family will be warmly greeted by a Niasa Tours representative and transferred to your charming hotel in Arusha. Take this time to relax, enjoy a swim, or have a light dinner as you soak in your first taste of Tanzanian hospitality.

Morning/Afternoon:

• Check into your lodge, where the kids can stretch their legs in the gardens or pool after the flight.

Evening:

• Settle in and enjoy a relaxed welcome dinner.
• your guide will brief you on the exciting journey ahead.

Meals: Breakfast (next morning)

This morning, journey to Tarangire National Park, known for its enormous elephant herds, majestic baobab trees, and incredible birdlife.

Tarangire often surprises guests with its diversity—expect giraffes, lions, zebras, and even rare species like the fringe-eared Oryx. Children will love the variety and your guide will tailor the experience to your family’s interests and energy levels.

Morning:

• After breakfast, depart for Tarangire National Park (approx. 2.5 hours).
• Enjoy your first game drive en route. Kids will be thrilled spotting their first zebras, giraffes, and (of course) elephants!

Afternoon:

• Lunch at a scenic picnic spot or the lodge.
• Afternoon game drive look for lions lounging in the trees and massive herds of elephants.

Evening:

• Settle into your safari lodge or tented camp with views over the savannah.
• Family storytelling around a campfire (marshmallows optional but encouraged!).

After breakfast you head towards the Ngorongoro Crater, one of the natural wonders of the world.

Descend into the world’s largest intact volcanic caldera, home to an incredible density of wildlife—including rhinos, lions, elephants, flamingos, and more. Enjoy a picnic lunch on the crater floor with hippos wallowing nearby.

Morning:

• Early breakfast and descent into the Ngorongoro Crater, a UNESCO World Heritage Site and wildlife paradise.
• Keep your cameras ready—this is your best chance to spot the Big Five (lion, leopard, elephant, buffalo, rhino) all in one place.

Afternoon:

• Picnic lunch by the hippo pool inside the crater.
• After lunch more wildlife viewing, return to your lodge for a rest.

Evening:

• Optional: a walk around the gardens or coffee estate, or a short educational session about the crater's geology and Maasai heritage.

Today you set off on an unforgettable adventure to the Serengeti National Park, the crown jewel of African safaris.

Your drive takes you through the Ngorongoro Conservation Area, offering stunning views and wildlife along the way. Upon reaching the vast Serengeti plains, you’ll enjoy your first sightings of zebras, lions, elephants, and maybe even cheetahs. Settle into your luxury tented camp and listen to the sounds of the wild under a starlit sky.

Morning:

• Depart after breakfast for Serengeti National Park. The drive is scenic, passing through the Ngorongoro Conservation Area—look out for Maasai herders with their cattle.

Afternoon:

• Arrive in time for lunch and your first Serengeti game drive.
• This is the real Lion King territory—wide open plains filled with wildebeest, zebras, and predators.

Evening:

• Enjoy sundowners while the kids gather around for stargazing or storytelling with the guide.
